it’s been awhile…

For the last 3 years I’ve been filming almost exclusively for Island Health Authority. It’s been a fantastic time shooting for a great organization. I’m looking forward to a little spare time next year to film some creative storytelling stuff. Much of the work at Island Health is run-n-gun. Super quick set-ups, and operating in stealth mode – while trying to create a product that looks like we had all the time in the world!

Looking ahead to Video Production in Nanaimo for 2012

Well… 2012 looks great. I’ve been working with Josh Raven on his feature film, The SeaSerpents Song. It’s been a treat to work with him and Bob Ennis, a veteran Canadian DOP, who shot for the CBC for years. We’re shooting on Perry Johnstons Red Epic, which is an incredible camera with 5,000 lines of resolution. That’s nearly 5x HD. It is a fantastic experience, and a lot of fun to work with a crew, after shooting so much solo stuff. Here’s a couple of pic from the set:
